INTO THE CLOUDS - A SPRING CONCERT

THS Instrumental Music

This spring, the THS Instrumental Music Program presents its final concert of the year, Into the Clouds. This evening of music lifts, energizes, and celebrates a season of growth and achievement. Exploring the idea of ascent, the program reflects how music can inspire, uplift, and carry us beyond the everyday, much like the season itself marked by renewal and possibility. The Honors Jazz Band opens the program with a set that highlights both energy and atmosphere, from the vibrant Afro-Cuban rhythms of Manteca and the high-intensity drive of Tank! to the smooth, intimate lyricism of Misty and classic funk blues of Wah, Wah!

Following intermission, the Concert Band continues the journey with a program that balances tradition, student artistry, and contemporary wind band literature. Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Flourish for Wind Band offers a bold and celebratory opening, leading into Richard Saucedo’s Into the Clouds, a work that captures a sense of expansion and wonder. The program also features One Spark in a Thousand by THS Instrumental Music Student Tristan Smith, highlighting the creativity and voice within the ensemble. The evening concludes with the grandeur of Wagner’s Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral and the warmth and reflection of Kataj Copley’s Halcyon Hearts, offering a sense of perspective and connection. Featuring performances by the Honors Jazz Band and Concert Band, this end-of-year concert invites you to experience an evening of music that soars while looking ahead to what comes next.

SUMMER SHOWCASE: HOME

Artistry in Motion

Artistry In Motion dance studio returns to the Templeton Performing Arts Center for their summer showcase called “HOME”. The show is titled “HOME” because we feel like AIM is a second home where children can feel safe, comfortable, and loved by their dance family.

The show will be a combination of recital routines and competition numbers that the students have been working on throughout the year. We will have surprise guests (dads) showing off their dance skills with their daughters!

Join us to congratulate these students on their hard work!

We will have Central Coast Contemporary Companies selling snacks, raffle tickets, drinks and food before and after the show!
